So here goes. *removing cobwebs*
Finally back in Sydney again. It's mostly hot during the day. But on certain days it does get cold - not that kind of chillwinds in winter though. Things went really fast these past 2 and a half weeks. I didn't expect myself to accomplish so much within such a short period of time. Am now staying with two friends with fabulous personalities - BW and J. One of whom was my BMT friend! And the latter is his sister's junior's cousin! All of them are very easy-going, funloving, and resourceful. :)

My first week was spent at this temporary accomodation called Annandale Lodge. It's kind of like a hostel, but minus the internet. The internet frenzy started when we were suddenly told the wireless at the lodge was actually paid-access. And we were extorted 20bucks each, when i had only used it for a night to chat with my dear friends. So I gave up, and went to friends' house. And then there was the router problem. And it only got fixed one day before school starts. Now i'm using the Library's computer! Argh.

So now i'm staying at Flemington. A rather peaceful suburb which seemed to have lots of Jasmine(flower) scrubs. And there's a playground (note: with swing) outside my house!
Can hear the birds singing every morning, and villa-like balcony with nice soft breezes every now and then.

And I have the worst timetable ever. 2 labs in one day. 5 schooldays a week. Starts at 8am every morning, which equals to waking up at 6am. My shortest day ends at 3pm. I make people feel better when they tell me how horrible is their timetable.

But however bad it is, I think i've gotten the more interesting lecturers amidst that horrible timeslots.
1. Prof Sharma is actually the mother of my tutor last sem! And she speaks in the same funny slang. haha
2. Dr. Parkinson! OK, i just liked that name.
3. Dr Osu. Her slides are comprehendable and organised.
4. Prof Max. Very old professor, mumbles to himself. But the strange thing is he's not all that monotonous when it comes to talking about his research. On his first day he apologised for having sorethroat cos he just came back from giving a talk in Singapore.
-_-. But he sounded equally coarse in the next lecture lor.

I didn't spend any money on textbooks! They're overly priced, even in sg. But the good thing is i managed to borrow it from the library! How awesome! I found it hidden in the medical quarto library where nobody visits! 'Cos the online catalogue usually only shows results from SciTech/the more popular libraries around the campus. Heng ah. not going to tell anyone. :X

Random things I noted since i came

1. Australians shout 'thank you' to busdrivers when they get down from the bus.
2. You can take trains for free illegally. As long as you get out and get in stations that have NO gantry. hahaa. But if you get caught its $550.
3. Buses and Trains are not as crampy as in sg. Cos the fares are simply too steep. People WALK. even for hours.
4. Smoking is allowed in aus train stations. but only unsheltered areas.
5. Graffiti is everywhere in suburbs! Some are actually quite cool.
6. I went to the paddy's market to get cheap groceries! (as cheap as in sg). its like a wet market-distributing area.
7. Fast(20mbps) and averaged-priced internet EXISTS. OMG. that's if you stay with friends. yay!
8. There are more singaporeans in my school that I had imagined.
9. Some koreans speak very bad english.
10. After several failed attempts of australians trying to remember my chinese name, I've decided and its going official. my english name is Jonathan. Yes, the name that i have had since forever but hadn't been using it. it's getting annoying, and i'm refusing every moment of this because i love my chinese name and i'm very cheena. alright, for the pragmatic's sake.

Sorry to everyone who tried contacting me and couldn't reach me!

gone.
